Love Is Blind Season 8: Vanessa Boreland on Pod Life + Unseen Moments
Dinner for Shoes episode 63
In Dinner for Shoes podcast episode 63, host Sarah Wasilak chats with ‘Love Is Blind’ Season 8 cast member Vanessa Boreland about her experience filming the popular Netflix show. Of course, their conversation touches on fashion — from what Vanessa packed versus her typical date-night style to her opinion on first-reveal outfits and wedding dress shopping on reality TV. Vanessa answers all your burning questions about ‘LIB,’ sharing insight into production, the food everyone’s eating in the pods, and what really goes on behind the scenes.
Sarah offers her own take on the series, tapping into this season in particular, and reveals which cast member she thinks she vibes with from a style perspective. She goes on to try chicken and vegetable samosas as an ode to Vanessa’s favorite Indian restaurant called Darbar in Minneapolis.

Sarah’s outfit
Pants set: Marbl, shoes: Bearpaw, blanket: Naturepedic, earrings: Ritani
For episode 63, I went for the type of look I could see myself wearing in the pods if I was on ‘Love Is Blind.’ I’d definitely want to feel as comfortable as possible while searching for my partner. I’m obsessed with these Marbl separates — they’re a season-less, sustainable brand that only produces what’s ordered. And these Bearpaw retro shorty boots are my go-to lately for running errands when I just want to stay cozy in the middle of winter. Snacks-wise, need I say more? Anyone else able to down an entire bag of Stacy’s chips like me? These would be ESSENTIAL in the pods.
Dinner
Chicken and veggie samosas from Karma Kafe in Hoboken, NJ
While Indian food tends to be pretty spicy for my palate, Vanessa’s favorite food is Indian from Darbar in Minneapolis, so I wanted to order a staple on the restaurant’s menu. This was the equivalent and as you’ll find out in the episode, I was quite satisfied with my choice.
